Hinkley Point C

We provided three number rotary rigs as part of six rig team with two other contrac- tors providing the reaming three rigs for a dewatering contract carried out by Stuart Wells Services for the construction of a new nuclear power station.

We were originally contracted to carry out a third of the 300mm diameter dewatering wells and cored monitoring wells. Due to our equipment, expertise and the profes- sional manner we dealt with the in depth requirements for the HSE and the day to day logistics of the site, two of our Lead Drillers were appointed Black Hat Super- visors of their drilling areas. By the end of summer we were the only drilling contrac- tor on site as the other two drilling contrac- tors were not making any enough progress to have any positive affect on the drilling programme and we finally completed 80% of the drilling works.
