Working for the dewatering contractor Stuart Wells Services we drilled and Installed the 6 x 300mm dewatering and 4 x 200 diameter monitoring wells to 25-30m depths in each of for the three main cofferdams in the River Mersey for the main bridge piers during the course of Spring and Summer of 2015. Additional dewatering wells were installed for the cofferdams for piers 9,10 on the Widnes side in Autumn 2015 and for piers, 11 and 12 on the in Spring and Autumn of 2016.

In addition to drilling of the dewatering wells for the piers either side of the Manchester Ship Canal, we also undertook drilling of 40 x 660mm boreholes to aid installation of the cofferdams into the Canal. These works were carried out from February to June 2016.
